Wagner Architecture Group was originally formed in Denver, Colorado in 1982. From its roots as an architecture division within a major real estate development company, WAG expanded from retail center and restaurant design to office building, recreation and vehicle maintenance facility designs, for both private and public clients.

In 1987, the firm moved its primary office to the San Diego area, maintaining a satellite office in Denver area. Once back in his native Southern California, the principal architect, Walt Wagner, began to focus on the design of automobile dealerships after rewarding associations with Design Forum, Miller/Zel, Mazda and Honda.

In 2005, Wagner Architecture Group entered into an alliance to act as the national dealership design partner with both BMW and MINI for the design of their retail facilities throughout the United States.

Wagner Architecture Group continues to design award winning automobile dealership facilities, as well as providing architectural services to both private and public sector clients for office, retail, recreation, health care, vehicle maintenance and hospitality projects.
